Fall in Love with your Skin: Beauty Bath Edition

Special thanks to the wonderful people at Moody Sisters for providing me with these products to review. All opinions are honest and my own.
It will be that time of year again before we know it--time to enjoy evenings rereading my favorite books by the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa, time to pull the cozy sweaters and my favorite boots out of the back of my closet and try them all on, time to enjoy crunching the fallen leaves outside with said boots, to enjoy the cool autumnal nights, even time to fall in love with my skin again.

I have to admit that as a desert girl, summer never treats my skin especially gloriously.  So, just like my wardrobe, my skin needed something new for the season.  Last week, I wiped the slate clean and came up with a new fall routine that is all-natural, all-handmade, all-Moody Sisters.  Following are my new must-have skincare goodies and Cleopatra's secret recipe which truly are making me fall in love with my skin over and over and over and over again.

I can't begin to tell you how dry and even cracked my fingers and hands have been!  Not a pretty picture, what the summer dryness did to them.  "From crocodile to baby seal in 60 seconds" was what the bottle proclaimed to me.  Crocodile was about right!  But baby seal?  So I tried it and was amazed!  The lotion is a creamy blend of organic oils and extracts and it works!  I have a travel size which goes everywhere with me.

Like the whipped lotion, this product make quite lofty proclamations: "From dehydrated mummy to silky Cleopatra." Also like the whipped lotion, this one holds true!  I keep it in my purse and use it on my hands and face daily. It's perfect for anywhere dryness plagues you, I'd say, and with an apricot scent it smells absolutely heavenly.  This one is coming soon!  Be sure to sign up for Moody Sister's e-newsletter to keep up to date on everything and to receive 10% off your total purchase.

First, I must write in kudos for my magnificent shower. My family and I recently moved into our dream home and this shower is amazing.  It is certainly one worthy of Cleopatra (no mummies allowed!) and worthy, also, of this Chai Body Wash. Don't the two of them perfectly complement one another?  But looks aren't everything, of course. The Body Wash feels fabulous, too, has a smell reminiscent of fall with notes of vanilla and chai, and makes my skin feel immediately softer.  I'm realizing as I type this post that the softness lasts all day.  My arms and hands, all of my skin, is noticeably softer tonight.

Legend has it the gorgeous Cleopatra bathed in milk, honey, and rose petals to give her silk a creamy glow and fresh scent.  I decided to try it.  All you need do is add a quarter gallon whole milk with several spoonfuls of local honey to your bath as it fills with hot water.  Sprinkle rose petals upon the water and perhaps even light a few candles.  Soak for 45 minutes, apply Moody Sisters Body Wash in your choice of scent (which currently happens to be on sale) and, after drying, follow up with Whipped Lotion.  The combination leaves you feeling satiny soft and gives you an autumnal glow.  You'll fall as in love with your skin as Antony was with Cleopatra.
